How made-to-measure works
Ordering a garment cut to your body is simpler than it sounds. Here’s what happens after you click buy.

Choose your piece
Pick the style, fabric and colour. Add extra padding layers or fastening upgrades if you want them.

Send your measurements
After checkout we email you a simple measurement guide. You need a tape measure and, ideally, a friend.

We cut and quilt it
Our tailors build your piece to your numbers and confirm every detail with you before they start.

It arrives at your door
Tracked shipping, with US import duties already paid. If it doesn’t match your measurements, we remake it.

Built the way gambesons were built
A gambeson only works if the padding stays put. Ours are made from layers of batting inside a natural-fibre shell, quilted closely so they hold their shape through years of drills, faires and field days.

How do I send my measurements?
After you order, we email you a measurement guide and a short form. We check every number with you before we start cutting.
How long will my order take?
Every piece is made to order and takes 15–20 days to make once we have your measurements. Shipping time is added on top, and we email you the dates for your piece.
Will I pay customs or import duties?
Not on US orders. Shipping and import duties are included in the price, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives.
What if it doesn’t fit?
If your piece doesn’t match the measurements you gave us, or it arrives with a defect, we make a new one at our cost.
Can I return my order?
Yes. If you’re not happy for any reason, you can return it within 14 days of delivery.
Which fabrics and colours can I choose?
Most gambesons come in cotton, linen, wool or velvet, in 13 colours. Each product page lists the options for that piece.
Is it safe for HEMA sparring?
Our HEMA styles are built for training, with armour points and neck protection. For full-contact sparring, add padding layers and wear it with the protective gear your club requires.
